There hasn't really been much activity in it that I could discern. There were a few little darting organisms that appeared to be single cell or so. They very strongly reminded me of red fleas. (Which totally makes sense, seeing as those dog fleas that are almost a reddish-clear are about as disgusting and simple as I can imagine, though think I'm highly prejudiced against them and so highly off base, but still an interesting thought.)
The things that really interested me was the green spaghetti like things. Long, clear green tendrils that snaked their way out of the muck that lined the bottom of the aquarium, (it's kinda hard to see in the picture, because it's almost entirely covered by the base,) and snagged things, and more much, to pile on top of them, or even eat, since I assume that's what they're there for. There were leaves in the water source that I used, and that makes me wonder if maybe the water was from a puddle that leaves had started to decay in.
I'm very much looking forward to this Friday when I will be able to go back and look. Hopefully, things will really start to grow and have activity!
